Its supposed to be the coldest part of the tank temperature but the actual temperature of the tank water is nowhere near 44c.its very lukewarm after  30 mins(full 500l tank)

This is strange mine is totaly the opposite mine shows a low temperature but put your hand in the tank and it’s to hot to touch I will take some temperature readings with the hand held tds meter and compare them

That’s the frost stat reading not the actual water temperature get a handheld and take it from that.

Very weird.  ???

Mine is accurate as to what’s in the tank.

40 degrees and it’s hard to put your hand in it.

If you take pics of the inside of the cabinet we can probably tell you where your temp is coming from. 👍

He’s not bothered, in his own words there is no difference in cleaning speed between hot and cold anyway. 😂

Mines the same.  I can never tell how it reads but I don't think the temp sensor is meant as a stats reading.  It's placed for the best method of frost protection.

Gonna order another hand held tds meter with temperature reading on too as mine broke this morning.its 8 years old! ;D

I'm getting 60c+ at brush head after 30 mins recirculating with 100m coiled up hose last time I checked.....

The best place to fit the frost probe is on the reel inlet it worked perfectly for me for years,it didn’t effect the frost stat and it gave me an accurate output temperature. The only trouble with the old brass probes is that you have be careful when tightening or they can leak when hot.

i do know that the digital temperature display flashes when the frost stat kicks in from 2c to 7c then turns itself off which takes 10 mins but the reading im getting after 30 mins of turning the heater on far exceeds this as  it jumped up 31c  this morning to 44c.......its always done this so it must be normal......

I don't think the digital temp reading is of the actual tank.  I have two controller readings and the one circulating is always showing a much higher temp then the one going to the pole.

Maybe Grippa could pop on here and explain the science 😜😜😉😉😜😜

ive just ordered a new tds meter from gardiners with the temperature button(i needed some resin anyway) so i think ill not bother taking any notice of the temp reading on the controller from now on! ;)

Yeah and your cold floor ambient air temp theory will be out the window when you dip that meter 😂

Forget all the remp reading malarkey.  Best method is your hand.  If the brush head is hot to touch then who cares about the stats.

its not a theory........ambient air temperature, flow, freezing cold ground, original temp in my tank before heating and how much hose i have off the reel all affects the temp at the brush end when im using hot water...its a fact....

i do wonder what planet your on sometimes nigel! ::)roll ;D

ive been  using a tds meter with a temperature button for years mate, just time to replace after 8 years and 2 lots of batteries, its finally given up the ghost..... ;D
