The original posting on this is about ROTARY machine agitation and not hand brushing - so lets do the poll correctly.
-
Come on, there must be someone out there using these CARPET FIBRE DAMAGING CONTRAPTIONS
-
There must be at least 1 person?
-
gwrightson
Do you wanna comment on my poll so far?
So far its all one sided dont you think?
Even you dont use one of these things!
-
Come on all you cleaning professional clean it up gods who slated the poor chap on the other post. Whos right now a?
-
I think most of the people on the other post were disagreeing that any sort of mecanical was bad for a carpet.I belive using a cylindrical method eg sebo or envirodri is fine. I personally would only use a rotary machine on floor tiles and not in a domestic situation
-
Steve, couldn't agree more - well said
-
Come on the following people were quick to jump on the other post what you gotta say now about cleaners using rotary machines?
martinS
Woodman
HolmansUKLtd
Formula6
Lets have your comments

There is no need to use these machines. They can cause pile damage as stated by all the carpet manufacturers in the other post plus everything else that goes with it.
Up here for thinking, down there for dancing!
-
I think you will read, that the origonal post ,stated that any type of aggitation was harmful to the carpet
this , from what you have replied appeared to be in agreement with. Why suddenly have you decided to ask who aggitates only with a rotory?
the reason I started a poll on who does and who doesnt , was to basicly try and establish who uses mechanical and who doesnt, as it would appear that the vast majority of HIDDEN C/C dont use mechanical.
I am not trying to belittle you in any way, I am not insulting you any way, trying to find the truth is all i am seeking!!!!
unlike yourself, who for some reason does not like the response from my replies, albeit standing my corner, and sticking up for all the instructors and exp, c/c who endorse aggitation.and as i was taught to aggitate mechanicaly , I shall continue to do so, even if it means using a low speed rotory.
so , please do not try to twist the disscusion, into rotory V non rotory

Read the original post again its all about using rotary machines for agitating. Come on! Read it!
My point is that these things can cause pile damage. You are putting undue pressure on the fabric - even the people who make carpets are saying the same thing.
By the way, very brave of you to comment - well done!
-
Brave ;D ;D ;D well I am a yorkshire man, were made of sturdy stuff up north ;D

COME ON CHAPS DONT JUST VIEW GET VOTTING. Lets put a stop to this issue once and for all. [
-
i always on every job use an environdri for agitation does wonders
-
I think the original post on this has been edited, I am sure it wasn't just about rotary agitation yesterday. He was saying that all agitation is bad which is why so many people jumped on him. Maybe he felt a bit daft and changed it ;D
-
I'm also with Envirodri Carpetclean, would'nt be without it.
Let the rest learn!
Went to my daughters a few weeks ago to clean her carpets, hot weather, no shoes or socks on.....gearng up for a barbeque. The Envirodri machine ran over my foot! :o
Rather than a trip to the hospital, I have now dumped the misses for a nice foot massage from the Envirodri ;D
-
It's amazing how only 1 cleaner who slated the other chap came forward to defend his position. Faced with the evidence I think we can put this ROTARY AGITATION saga to rest. I rest my case!

I often use a rotary and it has been know that I have used a watering can to apply pre-spray! Who to say I’m wrong? Next out goes the washing machine wife down the local river pounding my silk shirt with a rock thank god for the invention of the scrubbing board. ;D
Understand pile damage wish the customer did, would save me a lot of time explaining it, don’t get onto draft marks. :-X
Cleaned a new carpet (three weeks old) due to child being sick! no agitation. ;D

This post does not make sense and is ridiculous

;D

;D
I see you kept quiet with the results. Now you can keep your mouth shut and stop defending the process of agitating using ROTARY when hardly anyone does it

Hi Guys,
An interesting discussion but lets keep it friendly please.
Cheers

I think you may have the wrong end of the stick here old boy. I haveNEVER used a rotary machine with a brush to aggitate in a prespray.

Maybe not, but you were slagging off the other guy about them as if you where

every one of your posts is confrontational and your agenda is obvious, no one will reply as all that needs to be said has been said on the subject,
But I will tell you that I have brush rotary agitated pre-spray into hundreds of carpets before cleaning, does that mean i'm sacked. ::)

No it means your stupid and a cowboy. You obviously enjoy damaging peoples carpets. And my agenda?

Can’t vote as you haven’t got sometimes! ;D
I take it that you don’t do pubs; some times the black top is thicker than road asphalt.

I and many CD operators have used a brush, under a buffer for many years , on repeat customers, yes it may cause damage, if I go out in my car tonight I MAY crash, lots of things , could, may, might, happen , but dont , if carried out in the correct way. Agitate , if it needs it , on a commercial , hard wearing carpet , I see no problem.
