Hello. This is my first post on this site.
i appreciate the many topics you guys put up.
Firstly, i want a 650 Litre tank in the back, what van would you recommend?
Also i am sick of buying Resin, and having to change the resin.
I want to go to a reverse osmosis system, but i dont have an outside tap at my place. I fill up the van at my Dads place down the road.
Is they a system that exists that i can have some kind of reverse osmosis system in the van, where i can just put the water in the van and it can go through the filters etc and come out at 0ppm?
what do you guys recommend?
Thanks in advance.

With regards to ro and pure water - what is your TDS ? Secondly could you not have a static system at your dads then just pump pure water from a tank into your van?
As for a van, are looking at new or second hand and what sort of price range ?

Thanks for your reply.
My TDS is reading about 68ppm.
What kind of Static system would you suggest?
That is a possibility, but was wondering whether i could put something in the van, then i could get pure water from customers whilst there as well.
Looking at spending up too 4K really on a van

Are you currently on a single DI vessel or a twin set up?

To my knowledge you won’t get anything to wise to filter quick enough while on site but at 68 TDS you shouldn’t be going through resin that quickly - have you a large di vessel?
For 650 ltrs you could go for the old favourite a transit 280 or 330
But look at relay/boxer l1 h1 ( double check payload but mine is 1100 ) great van superb turning circle and you gat get a good one for that money
From experience keep away from vivaro/traffic from the years 05 to 08 - unless they prove the injectors have been replaced recently

Transit custom with a 650 tank. If your budget allows that is...
Pure freedom sell reliable static systems, google them.

Budget of 4K rules out a Custom

+1 for the Transit custom, I've had a 290 SWB for 4 years with a 650 ltr tank, Love it ;D

at 68 tap tds DI only will be far less hassle........twin DI when needed and your laughing.....esp with no space for a static RO system.....as for vans im not sure really....... a 650L needs a payload of at least 1000kg-1100kg.....and with only 4k to spend i think youll be looking at a ford transit 280 MWB......payload is 1111kg.....

If you decide at a later date to go down the finance route, VW transporters are a good buy as they hold their resale value very well.
