Title: Flotex large area
Post by: Emil Dinev on October 16, 2018, 05:56:09 pm
I’ve got a children’s soft play centre to clean soon, floor is covered in 15 years old flotex carpet that’s been cleaned a few times, but not for a while. The carpet is filthy to say the least. I’ve read loads of threads on here re flotex and am aware how I’ll clean it but my question is, is it better to use a rotary with a soft shampoo brush (i have  1.75 hp gear drive rotary so plenty of power) or something like pro35, tm4 or the likes? I have also got sebo due but i feel it’s not suitable for this job.

Also has anyone used this sprayer,

https://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/pure-water-systems/portable-systems/the-gardiner-backpack/new-gardiner-pure-water-backpack-v3-22-litre.html

Would this be sufficient at applying larger then usual quantities of prespray? I am aware that some use buckets or watering cans but I feel reluctant to use those. On the other hand the thought of using 6L pump up sprayer on 800m2 job is somewhat depressing.

Cheers
Emil

watering can and TM4 Emil..

Flood it and scrub it... the stiffer the brush the better, just don't linger too long in 1 area...

another option ...

pick up a spray lance like this  ....    and use your portable as an electric sprayer  .
before you full fill your tank  ,  or during low level before refills

or get a hydroforce style injection sprayer

Has it got the right size QC on....I have something similar that I use with a 18 litre battery sprayer but the QC is smaller than the QC's on normal extractor solution hoses.
