Has anyone tried the new vertigo pole from Ionics, it seems to have some great ideas. I know ionics have a bad name on this site, but they are a British company , aren't they worth at least a debate for that reason.

i only buy gardiner poles..not interested in any other companies poles TBH........excellent customer service, great poles and quick delivery....

Gardiners are a British company also.
I think the price puts most people off - I don’t mind paying extra for quality but I doubt ionic poles are significantly better than gardiners ( example - slx poles date back 6 years and still going strong - one did finally lose section one to wear but why would I look at anything else on the market ? )

No Gardiners don't according to several posts Alex has put up over the last few years.
Why make a statement like that based on assumption as though it was fact? Please provide the proof to back your statement up.

everyone on here ignores everything Ben M says spruce..... ;D
He's an idiot....or he certainly comes across that way in his posts... ::)roll

I've often wondered why anyone would name a pole "Vertigo".
Symptoms of vertigo
The sensation that you, or the environment around you, is moving or spinning may be:
barely noticeable
so severe that you find it difficult to keep your balance and do everyday tasks
Attacks of vertigo can develop suddenly and last for a few seconds, or they may last much longer.
If you have severe vertigo, your symptoms may be constant and last for several days. This can make normal life difficult.
Other symptoms associated with vertigo may include:
loss of balance – which can make it difficult to stand or walk
feeling sick or being sick
dizziness
Its the same as the name Facelift gave their Phoenix pole when they were released a few years back. The first thing that I thought of is "the Phoenix arising from the ashes." The ashes - doesn't say much for what was before.
Then they name the new pole Phantom.
Phantom may refer to:
An apparition, more specifically a
Spirit
Ghost
An illusion, a distortion of the senses
These are negative connotations and wouldn't inspire me to buy one.

Want one called the ‘cleans windows easily’ pole.

Someone once asked me if I had virtigo, I said no, just round the corner! 🤪

I’m sure those car manufacturers are just coming up with those names for a laugh! Some of them are blatant, let alone mistakes!

Has anyone tried the new vertigo pole from Ionics, it seems to have some great ideas. I know ionics have a bad name on this site, but they are a British company , aren't they worth at least a debate for that reason.
A local cleaning supplies place near me who is an Ionics distributor showed me one. I tried it out. No thanks. For the money it's modded.
Even if it was half the price it's still modded.
In defence of Ionics, their customer service is 5 stars though. What they make is extremely well made, just not very well thought out in terms of using day in and day out and their brushes are naff.

Really? I trialled a poles, one each from Gardiner, FaceLift and Ionics before committing to go with one supplier. The Ionics pole broke (one of the clamp levers iirc) on day one.
Utter garbage it was.
We used it as a (very expensive) squeegee pole in the end.

Spruce, `I see you get your research from Wikipedia... There are many connotations of the word Phantom, but it our case it is used as in 'Phantom Circuit' or `Phantom Power' in a positive light. `it is based around the clamp design so as to have `Phantom Wear' on the pole. It should wear but it doesn't. That was one of the ideas behind naming it.
It also goes nicely with FaceLift... as in FaceLift Phantom.
As for Phoenix naming, you are partly correct on the 'rising from the ashes' theme. That was also in a positive light, At the time we bought FaceLift is was falling behind from its heyday in the early/mid 00's. The original FaceLift pole was a true leader in the WFP industry, with removable sections, user-focused clamps, etc. Gardiners even used to sell them. So the Phoenix seemed an apt metaphor, as a new beginning........ The name also goes nicely with FaceLift....

"Phantom wear" sounds to me like; wear, but you can't work out why. Like a phantom knocking noise from your van or a phantom creaking noise from your knee.
