Hi guys
i am from Italy and my english i bad. :)
I wash many oriental rugs in a mounth with good result. When i wash this kind of rug (nain beige) then result is not good.

My washing method:
1)Dust the rug with dusting machine
2)Wash the rug with rotowash (multiwash) with soft bristles. Hot Water. I tried different cleaning chemicals(Alltec Oriental Rug Citrus Burst, Alltec Oriental Rug Cleaner,Prochem Powerburst!!), with high and low ph
3)Rinse the rug with injection/extraction machine with acid rinse
What am I doing wrong?
I thought, as a last attempt, to change the brushes of the rotowash. From soft to medium.
Please help me
Thanks!

;D there could be some some unique issue with your rug , like it could have being used beside an open fire , or it could be stained or worn , could be anything , post a pic of the real rug .

i would have to try a few things to figure it out , id probably try a solvent to see if its oiley , and perhaps an acidic solution to see if it reduces the browing , after that id play around with oxidisers etc ...
I see u put the the piuc on TMF , will be interesting to see what they say , i bet someome will say foot lotion ;D ... that seems to be the latest thing blamed for traffic lane soiling

Looks like browning. Powerburst wont fix that.

the downstairs apartment of their neighbors was destroyed by fire (2 children died). The rug was covered with ash.

I would say it's ruined , should have claimed insurance or something , perhaps it would respond to a strong oxidiser but you risk causing a different stain . Might be best to avoid any more with this one .

Think you would be better off getting hold of Lisa Wagner (aka rug chick) at TextilePros@gmail.com.
She really is an expert on rugs
