Anyone used them? What's the catch? How much do they skin you for after the first free client?

you pay for the leads, the value you pay will vary with the value of the lead, ie the monthly price etc, so it may cost you £4.00 or 4 credits, you still have to contact the customer and win them over on your service and price, so no guarantees

I don't really get why these people are going to Bark in the first place??

Have they never looked past paid ads at the top of Google?

I have been getting them for months, all areas apart where I clean?

Maybe good if you need more work but I personally never wouldn't use as busting at the seems with work already.

It's a compete waste of time mate.  They don't check any traders so offer nothing else to customers only to find them contacts.  No different from what Google does for free.

I surprises me why a customer would search on Google then instead of going direct to trades they use third party middle man bark.

It's a waste of money as majority or leads you buy are time wasters.  You might get the odd jem but how many lead to you buy to win that one job?

Bark seem to search for trades on the Web and then take your details to set up a bark profile for you.  That's why you are getting spammed.  You can ask them to remove your details if you want.

Yes that's another issue. They recommend silly prices for the customer when they join

You know as well as I do how hard it is to get a price out of Mrs Plonk's head once its set.

‘Bollox’ is as far as my summation has got with this lot. Their e-mails are deleted off the server before they get to my INBOX now.

I think they do it because they are tempted by the idea of a load of window cleaners all competing for their business.
They think this will result in them getting a good deal, a bit like how Carwow works for car buyers.

There is also a mental barrier for some people to contacting tradespeople directly.  They see it as a hassle and are afraid they are going to get the hard sell.
