Post by: dazmond on August 29, 2018, 08:41:50 am
i couldnt get it to connect last night while collecting!then i realised id downloaded a software update on my phone a few days earlier so reckon it must of been this stopping it working....so i turned my phone on and off AND pressed the on button on the side of the reader for 20 seconds(while the card reader was off)which reset it which solved the problem so i managed to a take a few card payments in the end...

just a heads up in case any of you guys who use them have a connection problem..... :)

The first time I used mine I had no end of problems and even changed my mobile as I thought my phone may have been the problem.
Turns out it was a faulty card reader. My replacement has had no such problems

Mine sometimes takes a a while to connect to my phone. Usually the first one of the day.  I aways turn machine on and the app straight away so it's already to go when I get to the customer.  Works fine this way.  Also if still struggles when connecting after tapping in the amount I click on the spinning ball icon top right to connect.  Not sure if doing that helps but seems to work for me.

On a lighter note, captured an ex customer who had been due me money for about 6 months. I approached him as he came out his flat and told him I’m still waiting on my money, he stuttered a bit and said he would definitely pay online tonight ( he’s said this on a few other occasions ) I told him I will save him the trouble of paying online and like a gun slinger pulled out the card reader, looking a bit sheepish he fumbled in his pockets and produced his bank card and I took payment, really did put a spring in my step and I managed to clean an extra 15 houses😜

An extra 15 houses?

All from collecting one over due payment?

I must try that some day.

Most people would have worked out it was a tongue in cheek statement 😉
