Title: brand new patio - indian sandstone - disaster

guys
we went to a property today with a brand new, Indian sandstone patio, completed only one week ago.
Cost £14,000.  !!

I did notice how immaculate it was a week earlier when I was there to price.
So today,
we're there to clean gutters, soffits, facia and windows
on completion of our job we noticed some dark and light grey patches where we had been stood and working from
before we started the patio was immaculate - so could only have been caused by us,
genuinely have know idea how !!

we scrubbed it with flowing water and a stiff broom  - for ages,
made absolutely no improvement what so ever

can anyone help ?
can anyone clean this for us or reccommend someone ?  nr. Brentwood, Essex

I have an indian sandstone patio and mine needed sealing once laid and after it's been cleaned.
Anything you spill on an unsealed one will absorb in the stone and mark it.Could try jet washing it
may be best to ask in the general cleaning forum.

Don’t Jet wash it or even try it at this stage

Hi Rob,  just had another thought - if there's any chance it might become an insurance job, probably best not to try anything without their approval??

Caustic soda mix applied with soft brush. Leave to react for 5 mins then pressure wash dodging the mortar. Wear gloves and goggles.
If it’s really bad just machine it off?

Indian sandstone should be laid on a solid mortar bed, not dot and dab. Either way if that’s the first time it’s got wet you could get stains come up through. Mine at home did in places and it was laid on a solid mortar bed & wasn’t sealed either. It’s a natural stone. If you haven’t used any chemicals then it’s not your fault. The rain would have done the same if we’d had any.
