I’m from Fife and still in business, and tho I may have poor prices compared to what you can get down south, my hourly rate is right up there ;)

Have they actually got windows in sweaty sock land now then?

Yes - but no glass in them. Especially in the Gorbals round by the Brazen Head Pub.

I’m quite lucky in that I’ve been going about 15 years so was able to build a big round in that time. I have downsized over the last couple of years so have kept the cream of my work while selling off the less lucrative stuff. Like most areas there are squads of guys doing houses for next to nothing but I still manage to get prices I am happy with. I don’t go over the bridge as I am central Fife and the furthest I go for work is about 10 miles, sometimes the traffic on the approach to the bridge can be a nightmare anyway.
