Title: on/off water switch for pole
Post by: dougster on June 24, 2006, 09:13:49 pm
A mate of mine as come up with this idea for his pole, so i kindly borrowed his idea, and put it on my own pole. What a treat, this gadget cost five pounds from asda in the gardening section. What a steal , it works superb.

Why cant the suppliers come up with ideas like this for little money

I'm still a Traditional wc, and if I do the conservetorie roof, I use a telescopic pole and brush connected to the mains water,

it has the same switch as yours, mine has low/high and off, does your switch have the same settings, ifso I think there made in american, thats what it say's on my pole.

dougster, is it not a bit hard getting your hand and finger to reach the button on it, its still a good idea,     although cheaper, i still think the trigger would still be better to use, but if it works for you go for it,

andrew, there is nothing to it at all.Normal horse to the inlet and use horselock to attach. Then on the water exit side u will just have to use horsepipe again then a reducer from horse to microbar. If you want more pictures ill put them on cheers dougster

jouk, i have both triggers and this method, and find it not much difference, apart from the price. So in my eyes ill stick with the cheaper option cheers dougster

true dougster, if you can find a cheaper option, that can do the same job as the trigger, and if it saves us money and time,  that put us diyers ahead, good job dougster,

Well, I can hardly see the image, but thanks anyway.
I am looking for an alternative as I have serious RSI from using my poles.
I probably had knackered hands and wrists anyway, but, I can now hardly feel my thumb!  saddle joint had it, maybe wrist too!
