Hi everyone,
I have a shop run of about 190 shops.
Some window cleaners swear by using a trolley, other window cleaners hate them.
I'd like to hear the advice of window cleaners also doing shop runs on how they organise to carry their gear around when they're on the job.
Do you carry a bucket of water tools, or do you have a trolley system? and more importantly, why have you chosen your current method.
Thanks, I look forward to hearing your feedback and the conversations that follow.
PS: Love to see any photos anyone has of their or other peoples trolleys. :D

i would think some sort of window cleaners cart would be more suitable for your gear (trad poles, small ladder, squeegees, cloths, detergent etc)...
surely if you have a lot of shops its easier to trad the lot(and less mess) than using WFP?
I DUNNO.........ive not got any shop work.........never had any in 25 years of window cleaning.... ;D

Welcome to the forum! Look forward to hearing responses later.

This is what we use take note that it has a place to put your pole as well.
We using the white stroll type attachment to wet scrubbers.
And keep premixed cleaning solution (5litre containers)in the compartment below.

I have a run of around 60 shops and I just use the van system and pole the lot but it is between 5:30 - 8:00am then return after breakfast to do the inside of a few at 9am

Hi King,
With over a 100 shopfronts a week, do you use a trolley system or prefer to carry a bucket? If you have photos that would be sweet.
cheers

just do it trad. dont have to worry about people tripping on your hose. Much quicker and its nice to use the squeegee. Nothing satisfying about wfp. also if you want a break, easy to leave it outside without worrying about it being robbed or tripped over. Run out of water, just fill your bucket up in the shop. Its nice to go back to basics

Hi everyone,
Thanks for your comments, I've been away for a while, sorry for not posting sooner.
I know that back injuries are one thing that I've had to watch out for in my time window cleaning
It inspires me down a path to create a product that would reduce long-term back injuries for Window Cleaners, especially those doing store runs.
At present, I'm researching the idea to see if it's marketable
I'm reaching out to see if anyone can help me with my research. The link has more information http://www.lp1.smclean.me (http://www.lp1.smclean.me)
Cheers

Didn't NASA put one of those on Mars in the 1980's?

When you get older you get all sorts of injuries /aches/pains doing all sorts of things.
Daz you're just an inexperienced lad who doesn't understand anything unless you've experienced it yourself
Look up 'Empathy' in any dictionary 🙄
