Title: Latest Google Review
Post by: John Mart on July 17, 2018, 07:56:23 pm
"Poor! Owner very arrogant and rude. The actual cleaner took about 20 minutes for a very quick, slap dash once over, leaving windows looking no different. No care or attention was paid and it feels as though they think they are doing you a favour! There are much better, friendlier cleaners out there who charge a lot less than these guys..."

I've no record of her as a customer and she's not contacted us, but she seems to make a habit of it:

https://www.google.com/maps/contrib/100535684074664178967/reviews/@51.6033325,-1.1770805,9z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m3!8m2!3m1!1e1

Nutcase. No way we'd ever take 20 minutes to do a house.  ;D

I don’t take any notice of google reviews someone put on there about me “ a very small dishonest little man “he clearly has never met me as he wouldn’t have described me as a little man 😂😂 I have never done work for him but cannot get the review removed evan after contacting google , just ignore it and move on , but it is annoying when some one slates you falsely and you cannot do anything about it

That one was water of a duck's back. I suspect it was someone who wanted a one off and I said no as there's no record and no cancellations that seem consistent with that.

Google reviews.

It takes a certian kind of 'To#$er to only complain via google reviews (we all have got them)

Its practically impossoble to take down (cheers google)

The OP : By the spunds of the wording in your review slap and dash etc it sounds to me that the negative review is from another local windie to me.

Oh how good it would be if we could RATE A CUSTOMER on a database that would be fantastic..

This maybe a different thing altogether but cliff richard won the case against BBC including due to libel... A false review is also Libel isn't it so I wonder if you could have a case against anyone who leaves a false review? After all it could lead to loss of potential custom which is the purpose of the false review

I have seen some fake reviews removed in the past. Not sure how to do it but it's possible

This is one of the advantages of having a company trading as such and such; protection from keyboard warriors.

My actual registered company is Bramar Ltd, at the registered address of incorporation. My home address is not posted on the internet, and stockclean isnt found anywhere under that address so google cant have a review entry against stockclean as its not listed.

Even if someone tried to register stockclean on to the same address as bramar it wouldn't work becouse you cannot register two entries at the same address without Google raising a dispute enquiry to the address holder.

You've lost me. I can't see why limited status (which we are) would make any difference.

Yeh that doesn't make sense.

If you havent listed your business on Google my business then of course no one can leave a review.

If you have they can whether it's your registered name, trading name or a different address.

I don't get that.

Any yes you can list multiple businesses at the same address, I have about 3-4 at the same address.

Oh my god that's shocking that Google will not remove that may I ask what solicitor did you use it's important information for some people who may have been in a similar situation as you
That £50 sounds like a bargain
My other question is no now that your page has been taken down surely that will affect your rankings on Google or I'm guessing you're not really bothered about that and you prefer to pick up work through word of mouth and canvassing?

we used our family solicitor which we have been using for years ,  he said it was worth a try , any solicitor will do it and its tax delectable which is good , i had spoken to the business team  6 times and explained it was against English law to write this and still all you get is it didnt go against there rules ..........

after the night mare we had i would never do it again and even if this meant we were last on there listing , i would rather buy  work in weather thats rounds or from a door knocking  company  its less hassle

its ok saying people dont believe  what people write but they do ! and mud sticks when you get called names ,

What you described is atrocious. You’d think that would get removed for being hateful.

One question though Susan. Why didn’t you just delete the page? From what I’ve seen it’s possible.

we tried doing that yet it still showed up on searches , we tried removing it three times , no luck , then tried to close it permanently again the reviews were still on show  ,

it states in there terms that your page may not be removed  even if you close it ,  took weeks to sort but i was so happy when it went never again i would rather pay big money for bill board signs then relog on to that

I had a negative review left a few weeks ago by a serial negative reviewer ( Her other reviews were also negative and one star). This woman rang up one day and asked if we covered her area for which we said we didn't then a few weeks later she called again accusing me of not turning up to clean her windows she had waited in all day bla bla bla! I hung up. Then a few weeks after I saw that she had left a negative review accusing me of not turning up etc! The woman is a nutcase!

This sort of thing really annoys me.  How can this be allowed to happen.  I guess there is an opportunity to sue but probaly a minefield.

I guess you should not have hung up on her in the first place though. Just explain again that she may be confused and you said she's not in your area.  Was probably the hang up she was angry with together with her confusion of who she had contacted.

There is a report action on the reviews. Not sure if it works but have seen reviews taken down in the past.

The person that left mine is a fake account. No one by that name on Facebook or 192.com

This used to happen to us quite often in the past but now we only get about 2-3 of them per year.  The bigger you are as a company the more likely it is to happen and it’s worse if you sell products to the general public as well.  I have also had a lot of abuse and bad press from a competitor all total tripe and lies.  I used to get upset and go after them legally but over the years I have learned that the best policy is to just ignore it all as a lot of it is jealous.  If there is an opportunity to reply and defend my company I will where possible.  However, I find that if you have done nothing wrong and have nothing to hide the truth will always prevail.

I had the review removed from my Yell page but Google is a different story so I won't hold my breath. They very rarely remove reviews as they don't get involved in things that can't be proved!
