In which case you're looking for public liability insurance plus the property you're working on and the work.

I used to be with simply business but they only cover you if your ladder falls and smashes someone’s car - doesn’t cover you if you smash someone’s window so I changed to gleaming. I think it was £180 for the year

actually ive just checked and it was just under £65 for a years cover....thatll do.....ive never needed it in 25 years of window cleaning anyway.... ;D

Just be careful with that lot (Simply Business).
They auto renewed me one year and took the money out of my account about 3 days before the renewal was even due.
Cheeky buggers.

Same I need £5 mill too due to compliance of some of my larger commercials and council contracts

Just out of intrest what’s the excess if you have to make a claim ?

£150 per claim

Think ours is well over a grand but that’s over 25metres, employers liability and plant cover. Still with hiscox though.

There have been threads before from people who thought they had insurance until they made a claim. Then they found the main job of the insurance company appeared to be finding excuses not to pay out.

Don't automatically assume that its as straight forward as you might like to think.
