I'm not a fan of barbs but managed to get a leak free connection after double clipping the hose from my heater....

Looking good! having a jubilee clip instead of hoselock connectors on the hose coming from the tank to the hose reel has for the 1st time EVER given me a leak free fitting.
I’m well happy with my reel , makes the job a lot easier/faster when packing up :)

:o :o Woh, Woh,Woh, sweet child o'mine!!!
Is this the fella chafed at going electric??? ;D ;D
-
Well, it’ll make your working day easier for sure. Good set-up . 👍🏼
At least you won’t be sweating as much in this boiling weather ;D

First impressions are good.however the side discs feel a bit flimsy despite having extra metal discs added to them....time will tell whether they stand up to prolonged hot water use...
reeling in is super fast on 99 esp when reeling in a full 100m!Brilliant... :)
I'm not convinced the barb on the side of the reel will stay leak free despite having 2 jubilee clips on (and extra power tool tight) so I'll probably order a screw thread male rectus 26 fitting to go into the side of the reel.....these should be an option as standard when buying these reels online IMO...I asked PF when I phoned but they had none in stock....

I’ve not really been on the forum much recently, so I’ve obviously missed a thing or two...
I thought only unfit & lazy people bought electric reels Daz, and all you needed to do was hit the gym and you’d find reeling in easy enough?
So whats changed?
-
That looks like a powered reel to me daz!?!?!? Thought you didn't need one??
Enjoy delegating that job out, now you can stand there and take in the scenery instead of manual labour.
I see a couple of extra reps coming your way on the shoulder press.

The Exceed Tubeless set-up would tidy your van up no end.
No more metres and metres of looped up pole hose everywhere.
Im surprised you haven't done it already Daz.
-
Good point there , Daz seems to have missed tubeless altogether , he's just spent 600 to save a bit of time when 60 would save more time and that spaghetti situation in the van .
Better still Daz do a DIY tubeless and it will cost you nothing .
-
Tubeless wouldn't work for me because of my heater(plugging into my return valves a lot during the day to keep the heater running) ;)
I'm very happy with my set up now and it's as neat and tidy as I want it...... 8)

You can use tubeless with the heater we have done so for 4 years no problem at all

It’s just a connection daz. With tubeless your microbore hose still has a connection on it, so you’d just stick the right connection on your “return hose”.
I haven’t gone tubeless yet either but I’m probably gonna give it a go at some point.
Only other issue with tubeless is if you need to use a 45 footer at any point you need to have that length of pole hose on your reel...... I think.
Might be a bit of a Pain.
