Have you checked out the state of the windows?

then work a day and a half on the Wednesday and Thursday and then another long weekend
then again I am nearly a pensioner LOL

Yep all finished yesterday, first time I've been up to date for about a year. Having a part time lad now means we are flying through it.

Not religious and don't work for a bank; so no.
Title: Re: taking easter off?

Working Friday off Monday mainly to take the kids out. Like Soupy I'm not religious and since being self employed bank holidays became meaningless if I want a day off I'll just take it anyway no matter what day it is.

Working tomorrow, but that’s out of choice. I’ve got end of month commercial work to do and actually prefer doing on a bank holiday when no ones there to get in the way/watch me 8)

if you work bank holidays though ( domestics) theres always loads more vehicles parked up the roads/driveways....and people doing DIY jobs......rather you than me lads........ :)

I hate working bank holidays and so don't.
Brighton traffic bad enough at the best of times but even worse on bank holidays and more so at Easter . Its one of those places people flock to, whatever the weather ......... just not worth the grief and the traffic jams.

I agree with daz on that one.

100% domestic myself, and just in the way on public holidays.

Think it looks a bit desperate working public holiday's.

Not having a stab at anyone, I'm sure your all earning bundles more than me :-[ ;D

A full 4 days off with the family.  A couple days out in the countryside, a day with extended family and a day doing jobs around the house, that’ll do for me 👍

Certainly wouldn’t do domestic, but a couple of hours commercial for me, love it when I do an office block with no one there, no cars, no watching how long you take etc etc.

Got a small school to do.  Prolly do it Sunday afternoon.

Very unusual for me to work on a bank holiday weekend but it will only be three hours or so.

I thought that. DIY jobs  ;D.
I work round my missus and little lad- not literally- so I'll be out for a few hours Friday and maybe an hour on Saturday (I might go to the races in the afternoon if the weather's ok).
I'll be having time off during the next two weeks as he's off school and she'll be working. I work when I can.
I like Easter but it's not as though I have to be at work and I don't mind working. Getting the hours in is the difficult bit for me; I have too much time off.

Could you imagine if all workers had the attitude of some window cleaners and no one turns up for work for four days cause it might look desperate!
 ;D ;D ;D
No petrol stations, no local shops for your bread n milk or cigs for some people.
No where but public parks etc open and thats if youve got the fuel to get there n back because everywhere is shut down as no on wants to look desperate working during the holiday.

Really, some of the comments make me chuckle.
There was a time before trad that i used to work every bank holiday. They were just normal days to me but since going wfp im able to take these days off much to the joy of my family.   Now regardless if im running behind or not, I like to spend time with my family which is more important.  Ive learnt the hard way that sometimes your family can be taken away from you.

I worked for about 5 hours on the Saturday.  Not a problem.  It meant that I got finished in an area in readiness for Tuesday.
