Hello p@f been reading with interest about how you use 100 metres of pu hose, I was thinking of trying this but as you say wouldn't lay pu hise in road for cars to drive over.

Was thinking of some thing like this to cover section of pole hose in road.

Then I thought about 10 metres of garden hose with a slit from one end to another so it acts as a sleeve to pole hose, same idea as link.

Don't know if garden hose a small section would tangle in tyres?

Sorry these ideas may seem silly just blue sky thinking 😁

Obviously you can have pu hose on reel joined with micro bore say 50m green pu joined on reel with 50 metres yellow microbore.
So if going across road pull off reel till you get micro bore laying across road.

Or obviously use a backpack on the jobs where pu hose can't go across a street.

Sorry I know most of this is obvious, just interested in using green pu pole hose on reel as yourself 👍

Hold yer horses Lee , dont go spending out just yet , its just come to me now how to get over the problem of crossing the roads !
I will post up later how i think it can be done at a lot less cost , maybe no spend at all .
If it works i can then go back to running the full 100 of green instead of a mix and match setup  ;)

I am running 65 micro with 35 green for the winter .
In the summer it was 100 green
I found the green when cold could be a tiny bit coily , it also did not retain the heat from the boiler as well as the micro .

So if what i will try today works then its all good .
I do still leave the green on slow traffic roads , its just the speed merchants who had a tendancy to make the green kick up into the air a bit as its sooo light !
