Title: Spotless water filling stations
Post by: groundhog on March 06, 2018, 07:01:38 pm
I desperately need to fill my tank up tomorrow as my RO is broken due to the frost! Has anyone used a Spotless water filling station? As I am considering driving to Basingstoke tomorrow morning to fill up, are they any good? Are there any hidden charges? Thanks

Hi Groundhog,

Ive not used there stations yet as they have not fitted my local one yet but I signed up a few weeks ago and you get £20 credit to try it out so I'm looking forward to giving them a try.

Regards,

Gordon

These guys used to sell water (not sure that they still do) and aren't too far from you.

And if you're absolutely stuck, I can sort some for you (though I'm a good hour's round trip past Progress coming from your direction)

Thank you guys for your help. I have had an email from Spotless, so I am going to take a trip to Basingstoke in the morning and give them a try. Thanks again

Spotless water is good...if it's working properly.
I only say that because they have just closed one location in Bournemouth.
Just turn up and follow the onscreen instructions. You won't have a 'fob' so don't worry about it.
It will cost 3p per litre plus VAT and you can use your debit card to pay. Don't put your debit card in the reader, (use the contactless on the right hand side) much quicker.
If you put your email address in, when prompted, it will send you a receipt the same day.
Think of it as a modern petrol pump at Sainsburys and you won't go wrong.
Make sure it has access 24 hours a day, or you'll need a code for the gate lock.

Hi Dazmond, yes I managed to get some water thanks. It was quite a journey down to Basingstoke, if there was a station closer I think I would consider using it regularly and getting rid of my RO. It was very easy to fill up once I got there, and the water was a perfect 0 tds.
