Had a call from a chap yesterday who for two minutes didn't stop talking from the moment I answered the phone, couldn't get in edgeways.
He said he thought it was a little negligent calling to do the windows in such poor weather conditions and that his driveway had been left like a skating ring.
Apparently he has come home from shopping and found all the front windows frozen over and driveway as mentioned.
As he began to inhale I took my chance to step in and first asked what company cleaned his windows and what was his address, when he replied I knew he was a customer of mine and my initial thought was someone has gone along and done them by mistake or something on them tracks.
I explained that none of my vans have moved since Tuesday !
I heard him shout out to his daughter "Did you see the window cleaners today?" Her reply "No"
Which tickled me and then I think he realised he'd jumped the gun with the call.
I said the only thing I can think of was that yesterday morning we had rain coming down that was freezing on the windows almost immediately at our house [Not seen that before] and that probably happened at his house as he's not that far from me.
He was very apologetic and asked if I could forgive him, which I thought was fair enough.
He then said, thinking about it you always leave your slip when you've been and there was no slip left. ::)roll
Here's to the thaw.
At my earliest chance I stepped in as he inhaled and asked first

A lot of people out there are stressed at the moment including our customers just trying to battle on to get to their jobs and do the day to day things when the weather improves we will be back at it . At the moment windows will be the last thing on most of their minds ;D

I hope he paid before ringing.
