Hello, there ive got my first suite booked in and wondered if anyone could spot any problems with my plan.  I think the suite is Linen (will confirm with a burn test).

I will place the suite on a waterproof sheeh with an absorbant sheet on top of that.

After testing for colour fastness i intend to vacuum and prespray with Prochem Fabric Restorer which will then be agitated (which brush would be best for this?) and extracted using HWE plain water in tank(with pressure turned down setting i use for cartpets).  I will of course check inside cusions for writing and thoroughly inspect for damage before staring.  Is there anything ive missed?

i always use a tampico brush works wonders m8

Linen can be a funny material to clean, it should be cleaned and dried evenly (using as little moisture as possible) uneven drying can lead to celulose browning if you are not careful, I would clean it one panel at a time after the usual tests, lightly prespraying then agitating and extracting as much as possible, if you have one available an air mover will help to reduce the drying time greatly, Andy

Ok will use a blower, and you say i need a Tampico brush?, any advance on that?, also can the Tampico brush but uses on othe rmaterials of just Linen?

tampico is a great upholstery brush if you type tampico brush into your browser it will give you the suplliers . its also good for stains on carpets ie agitating

Tampico or horse hair brushes are ideal for any type of upholstery. Avoid nylon ones as they are too harsh and can fluff the fabric. If your suite is linen it can be cleaned quite safely using a prescribed cotton cleaner like Chemspec Hiatian Cotton Cleaner or Craftex Powdered Cotton Cleaner. These products are acidic, ph 3-4 and prevent browning problems.
