Hi,
So recently change all my filters on my 300GPD RO. All 3 Membranes and 3 Prefilters.
Tds on flush - is coming out at 18ppm
Tds not on flush is 35ppm
I cannot work out why Tds is lower on flush mode, I've left it on flush making pure water as I don't want to waste resin but worried I'll ruin my filters!
Any ideas?? ??????????
Thanks
Ashley

Did you flush after installing new filters etc?
-
What did it normally kick out TDS wise when not on flush ? with the old membranes before they were shot ?
-
Are your membranes in series or parallel and are you sure you’ve got the pure and waste plumbed in correctly?(i.e you’ve not accidentally put a waste from one membrane inline with pure from the other?)

That’s what I was gonna say - plumbed in wrong

All connected correctly, I've got three pure water hoses coming out of filters and three waste hoses going to the right places. On bottom of each membrane housing there are two outlets and I think I have have put the right ones on each one but not sure.
Flushed System through with new filters.
Do you think it will matter much if I leave it on flush?
Any suggestions?
Wondering if pressures ok? Was fine all last year. Had Tds of 15 after RO from 270 👍🏻
Not sure what's happened!

I think it’s lower on flush as you are passing more water through the membrane so it’s quite diluted dirt for want of an expression
When you are filling the reading is higher as the waist is stronger as you are passing less water hope this makes some kind of sense

If you have a similar system is your wast more powerful when making pure water or when flushing?
-
Should be alot more in waste when flushing than when you’re producing pure.
I’d always recommend having these types of RO’s in parallel rather than in series as it gives each membrane even wear.
Post a photo of how you have it plumbed in if you can.

Check the tds of product water from each membrane individually in case you have a duff membrane.

I never bother with flush on any of my ro s I've ever owned but a friend of mine bought one believe it or not he only uses about 8 bottle s a day so not going through a lot of water . After a month of using it he decided to flush it after that he couldn't get the tds back under 020 so changed his resin n it was fine after that
