Title: Switching customers from BACS to GoCardless
Post by: nathankaye on February 13, 2018, 03:04:31 pm
Obviously I don't like it when customers fall behind on payments but it's easier to switch them from BACS to GoCardless when they do.

Anybody else find it easier this way?

If someone sent me a message asking to pay with a method that was "more easier" I'd sack them.

Id imagine its not 5 cleans owed. Its more like 5 cleans paid late?

I've been cleaning their windows for 15yrs and they are good for payment, usually.  Therefore I don't mind the odd ones like this.

If it’s late then it’s owed

I had a customer of about 12 years who usually sent payments by cheque for 2 or 3 cleans at once.  Stung me for 3 cleans about 15 months ago.  I won't go past 2 for anyone now.

Hi Nathan, I’m intrigued to know how you got on with your “older” customers changing to this method. I understand the technology savvy could see the benefits (as can I)

There's too many arguments on here about pricing and too many variables. Easier to blank it as it isn't the focus of my thread

Yep it's a front clean for seven quid.   Yes I have a minimum fee of ten pounds, but I haven't always had a minimum fee chaps.

I have a £10 minimum generally but i also have a couple of dozen still below that.
Its not that easy to charge £10  plus in yorkshire.
