About to order a new reel but not sure which reel to go for.
Does anyone know what the differences are between the Pure Freedom and the Grippatank Reels...??
Bearing in mind that the Grippa tank one is hundreds of pounds more money, with the add ons.
Cheers

I believe pure freedom one uses a chain and the grippa one doesn't. I have the power up hd which is great if i got another i would probably edge towards the pure freedom one as you can get it on a swivel base and it's a bit cheaper.

The Pure Freedom reels are pretty good, the only pitfall I have found is the remote power lead is to short, it is a real stretch to reach the rear doors, we ordered swivel reel so intended to use from side or rear doors
I did mention this to PF but no offer made to resolve issue

I just use an old Black and Decker drill , winds in just the same !

I also have a HD reel, its been great and had no issues with it over the last 1 1/2 years, The pure freedom reel seems to have more torque, the power lead is longer on the HD reel so reaches side or rear door

Can you not stick a longer cable on the Pure freedom one Steve? I'm getting a grippamax tank installed tomorrow and the battery is going to be in a different place so will have to extend the cables (which is pretty straight forward) on the HD reel so it will reach the back doors

The Grippa reels are gear-driven. Not chain.

Have you got a picture 📷 p@f?
Interested to see how drill fits to reel.
Thought of doing this myself to Gardiners CALIBRE (spelling) reel.
Thought spare handle, doctored to fit in drill, remove handle off reel.
I think ???
P@f you could put glitter on your drill to give it that expensive, sophisticated feel ;)

Its nothing special , socket on drill that fits nut on existing handle !

Great p@f,
Very tidy setup, is that the fiat fiorino van you have?
Who's reel? Pure freedom?
Oh 😁 noticed something on outside bumper is that metal loop for hose to go through?
Thanks p@f 😊
