She probably has a better understanding of why you need help from the "abuse team" now though.

Probably going through a divorce.
Call her Ms. Not Mrs ;D

Someone once contacted me about stolen images i had taken from someone's site to use on my own.
I got a very legal looking email, about how if I didnt remove them they would take further action blah blah.
I just said no problem pal, removed them and nicked somebody else's :D

It does sound as though he hit a raw nerve. (http://www.cleanitup.co.uk/smf/1516976341_grin.gif)

I once castigated someone for stealing my images but later found out I’d (unwittingly) stolen them from them. That was embarrassing.
-
she sounds horrible man

Someone on the general section moaned about my photos and I "could have asked" but I just said to speak to the web designer and never heard about it again and no photos were removed. I've got poop loads of photos but they just aren't good enough for a website/couldn't be arsed looking so haven't sent them to be uploaded.
-
there's a chap on the general cleaning forum stole and used my images - i wouldn't have minded too much if he had asked but what really took the biscuit was he had spent several months on the board saying i was s@@t at pressure washing ::)roll
after a phone call he did remove them (eventually)

You could've just e-mailed him a bill for say £300 for using your images. If he refused to pay you could then take him to the small claims court; make sure you have evidence like screen shots.
He'd be found bang-to-rights and he'd be liable for your bill and any costs incurred.
At least that's my understanding of it.

Who stole them?
The fella who's website they were put on, or the web-designer who put the site together.

I know someone who stole images from somebody else’s site to use on his own.
It turns out they were stock images from one of the many agencies owned by Getty. The original site had paid for them correctly, but he (having stolen them) had not.
He got one of the now infamous “Getty letters” (google it) demanding £1,200 in damages.
Basically, you have no defense in court, and if you lose (which, having no defense, you will) you have to pay their requested damages plus their legal costs which are about £10k as they use barristers.
He paid.
He didn’t steal images again.

I don't use Heart Internet anymore.
This is a long time ago, but as I remember, there was something about their server configuration that was not ideal when using Word Press. (That's probably all changed now). Anyway I use TSO Host instead.
So they must get a lot of abusive emails to have a 'whole team' dedicated to that endeavour. Not just one or two people but a 'whole team'. Perhaps if they provided a better level of service they wouldn't get so much abuse!
-
I use TSO as well.
Ive had a look online about Heart Internet. This Mrs Church seems a 'popular' lady. When I say popular, I mean busy.
She's no oil painting either. No wonder the other half is divorcing her.

Fasthosts i found are very good.
