i am looking for a heavy brass or steel fitting for my large purefreedom tap The screw in barb blue fitting going into tap from PF for 350 and above tanks
This is my main leak, the plastic head keeps loosing its shape when you turn with spanner. Looking for a better quality one to fit in
Any one use different to blue plastic fitting
of the PureFreedom Tap you fix onto your 500 ltr water tank(http://www.cleanitup.co.uk/smf/1515177815_purefreedom tap.png)

what size thread will it be, i know its for a 1/2 inch hose barb
-
You are using PTFE tape on the threads I assume? I had one of those taps and it cracked at the elbow when I was tightening it to the tank thread. I now use a plastic elbow on the tank from Gardiners and an inline tap 6" further down just before the pump.

1/2" bsp male to 1/2" hose barb.

PF say the fitting is for their 1/2" hose.
Pirtek behind B&Q in Portrack Lane will probably carry those.
The black fitting is a 1"bsp male to 1/2" bsp female reducer.
