Hi dazmond, Happy new year to you, how are you getting on with your new heater, I'm getting my van kitted out
next week with a 650  litre grippatank with RO & filters plus 9.9 kilowatt hotwater heater, they will be keeping it
for four days, so hopefully collecting it friday next week.

it was because it was fitted incorrectly without a flue, the gas heaters need a flue, never have any problems with ours partly because the doors are shut with the heater on inside!

There's no flies on you dazmond, yes i bought a new Transit Custom 290 Lwb, got a good trade in for my old Connect,
i picked up the Custom yesterday, I'm over the moon with it, its the Base model, so no A/C or heated seats like you've got
mate. No i didn't win the irish Lottery, mind you it would maybe help if i did the lottery, but i don't.
I just decided my old connect is getting on a bit and rusting more each year, originally i was going for a decent secondhand
Custom, but changed my mind and thought sod it I'm going for a new one, yes its costing me a quite a bit, but like yourself
dazmond i always fancied and dreamed of a new van, the way i look at it you only Live once, you can't take it with you.

Never had a flame out issue with my chiwanese propane heater yet, I think the advice is to keep it just inside the door though and not hanging on back door open to the winds?

its an investment larry and we ve all struggled on with old vans and cars and crap equipment before now(well i have anyway!)in my 25 year window cleaning career.

we deserve a decent van and professional equipment in my eyes.we ve worked long and hard for it.

good luck with the fitting mate and i hope it all runs smoothly for you. :)

thats the only bad thing about gas heater wind can blow the flame out i park my van facing the wind or keep the back doors shut and leve side door open to vent the fumes ,im defo intrested in a diesel heater tho but only as it has frost set to stop it freezing up

Mine always blew out when it was windy if you must use one you need a flu really.

Thats one thing i have never had happen , so i dont even know if the gas cuts out if not ignited , maybe then this could be the reason that some have had the fireball effect , having a flu wont help as propane is heavier than air and will just pool underneath the heater as opposed to going up and out of the flu , then when the heater next fires up you get the Daz effect ?

it wasnt windy on the day i had "the scare" richy.the gas cuts off when the flame goes out anyway.

the gas cuts out if the flame blows out so no chance of your van having a fire ball effect lol
