I have a Liquid Logic analogue controller.
The right hand 'shut off' calibration is normally set to very low, as in about 2 (8am o'clock) but often the pump will still keep on running even after I turn off the flow whether by disconnecting the pole hose or shutting off the tap.
Even if I turn shut off dial to zero position the pump will still keep running until I switch off the controller on the left hand pump flowrate.
I've tried recalibrating many times and I always seem to find the shut off position is very low as opposed to it being in the 12 o'clock - 2 o'clock position which I read somewhere is the normal position.
Any suggestions as to where I'm going wrong?
And if the pump is still pumping where is the water going to?

Seems weird.
Sounds like the dial numpty is set half a turn to the left than it should be.
My shut off calibration is usually at 1-2 o'clock, but in this cold weather is currently set at about 4 o'clock.

Is this a new problem? What pump are you using?
If you have a pump that isn't in the Shurflo catagory (ie, a smaller one that's fitted to a backpack) then the pump won't draw enough power/current (amps) to activate the dead end of the controller.

Air in the system?
Air compresses, liquid will not.

Flojet 100psi.
Had same setup for couple of years. Always found the shut off needs to be set low.
Always found there is about a 3-4 second delay after turning water on/off with pump turning on/off .
Continuous pump has happened a few times before , but it doesn't happen all the time.

I had a Flojet that played up like this on a two man system. Always when the tank got low and water was sloshing about. It let air in the system. It was a right pain to get the air out even running the pump flat out. The air would come out but the controller would never dead end properly. The other side of the system was fine. It was always this one side that played up. We tried a different controller, connectors, everything we could think of. I emailed Ian Sheppard several times who was helpful. Turned out to be the pump. I swapped it for an old Shurflo I had lying about and it's been fine ever since. The Flojet always worked but was hard to calibrate the digi controller for some reason. Really weird. I keep it as a backup now for an emergency though with two vans & two man systems in both I doubt I'll ever need it.
