prefer Nathans video's!

Yes but Nathan does very serious videos, hes in a different league.

It's easy saying it's like an slx when it's not extended but as a photo I took years ago showed when there extended with a brush on the end the difference is more clear to the eye, and that's when the operator feels it.
-
Yes it definately doesnt feel like an slx in use, tried it in the garden. Its alright for what its for though.

I got the same pole when I first switched to wfp along with a carbon pole from purefreedom. Dont really know why I got 2 poles for when I started, especially as i didnt really use it with having the carbon. I also found it to be too flexible, especially at full stretch. The secret is to only extend to about 2/3rds of each length and that keeps some rigidity in it for you. But then you need to get a longer pole than you actually need, just to keep it stiff at the length you really need!
Saying that tho, its still a good pole and I use it for my trolley system. The clamps arent great not like the gardiner ones but they are easy to tighten though.

how much are you saving compared to a SLX 22 though?in the end i reckon itll cost you more because the pole wont last half as long as the slx and the clamps will be next to useless after 8 months continual use. ;)
-
Dunno daz, probably be poope. ;D
I bought it with a view for giving it to employee to use.
Also because I split my 22 slx down to 18 to make it as light as poss and can't be bothered sticking the extra section on a few times a day so I'll just use the phoenix when needed.

This delivery was more than expected.

Clamps don't last as long as an slx I've had my 22 slx nearly six years same clamps a mate of mine has had a pheonix and clamps started going before six months he's got gardiners poles now
-
Gardiners poles are very hard to beat.
-
I knew deep down I would regret not buying Gardiner's but can't resist a sale.
-
Did you say you got it for £100 ? had a look at the specs and its a lot lighter than the Gardiner equivalent CLX22,
CLX22 1420g Phoenix22 hybrid 1300g.
as for clamps, as long as you keep them adjusted and don't let the sections spin then they will last as long as the Gardiner.

£108 Inc vat and delivery.
Yes the weight seems very good collapsed, similar to the slx, the tube sections are thinner. I didn't check the wieght but noticed the 18 version of this pole is only 40g heavier than an slx 18
As we know it's more the flex at full length that makes the difference though. Not tried it yet as needed to order a Gardiner's gooseneck

My mate said the poles wore very quickly and he couldn't tighten the clamps up any more
