Clean It Up

Hi Guys. I'm getting back into window cleaning after an absence of a few years.
I've just bought a WCW backpack. It doesn't cut the motor when I shut off the water using the pole-mounted tap. Is this a feature of these backpacks or is there an adjustment I can make to the pressure switch on the end of the pump? (It's brand new so I haven't tried opening it up yet, so don't even know if there is one!)

I’m not sure but it sounds like there’s a bypass valve somewhere to stop pressure build up.

Just found a YouTube video of Wagga when he got his backpack. It's the same model. At about the 5-minute mark he shows how it switches off when the pole tap is closed and it's up to pressure.

After a few acrimonious emails, They have offered to replace the backpack. The item clearly does have a cutoff ... it just didn't cut off!
Here's a link to the manufacturer's website. The second picture clearly shows the presence of a cutoff and the specification mentions it as well, as does the handbook.

Anyway, thanks to WCW for a successful outcome.
