Well I decided to give it a whirl. Nothing gained and nothing lost by trying it out. I used to get so many emails from them containing leads.
I purchased 20 credits. It costs 2 credits to respond to a customer lead( last year it only used to cost 1 credit). After buying the credits all the leads seem to stop. I had a small trickle of leads. About 2 in as many months. Both one off cleans where the customer had been advised by bark of a £15 spend.
However when looking to respond to the lead they now expect 3 credits devaluating my original purchase. (300% price increase over two years)
They also expect 5 trades to respond to a customer so for a £15 one off job bark expects to take at least £17 from traders.
Another way of looking at it is that a trader has a 20% chance of success (provided he is the cheapest I would imagine) its not worth it and you will spend more than you take.
Sorry but i think it's a total con where they agree to sell you credits and then devalue your purchase a few weeks later. Plus reducing the quantity and quality of leads.
Well i wouldn't want to go to Tesco to buy a bar of chocolate only for the store manager to knock at my door to take a third or the bar back from me because they have increased the price.
Ok. Rant over. Applologies. But lesson learned.

I got offered a 15 quid job 45 miles away!

We used it and have stopped due to the leads being very weak.

I dont use Bark, check a trade, etc etc.
All my customers come in from recommendations, and google.

I got a turn from Gumtree before but it seems to be a lot quieter than before, usually numptys that use it with duff enquires but I've kept it going.
