Going to put my 40/40 ro and bits into a cupboard and insulate the insides with silver foil insulation, do you think this tube heater will be man enough to keep the inside protected from the frost https://www.screwfix.com/p/dimplex-ecot1ft-wall-mounted-tubular-heater-40w/3951f
Just want to keep the filter housings etc from freezing up ready for winter as i have 1 of those metal shipping container style lock ups and it can get very cold in them.
Thanks

I bought a 40 watt tube heater. It didn't have a thermostat built in so I wired it in a frostat. The heater was always on and it wouldn't raise the temp in my cabinet to 8 degrees where I have my top setting. The heater was barely warm to the touch and always on.
I took it out and replaced it with a 120 watt tube heater and that has worked fine for the past 5 years. It keeps the cabinet at around 8 degrees no problem. My cabinet is in our brick garage not a cold steel container.

I would tend to go bigger just to be sure tbh.
This was taken with the original tube heater in that I later removed as it was too small.

Hi Spruce
Thanks for the reply, i have that picture saved from before which is how i will build a little cabinet. Will be roughly the same size as yours and i will have my membrane horizontal and no di vessel in it just the membrane and filters etc. I'm going to line the inside with the silver bubble foil insulation (will help keep the heat in).
There is an 80 watt version too perhaps that will be the better buy. I looked at them as they have the built in thermostat and there is a screwfix just down the road from me.
