Title: Does anyone sell pure water to their customers?
Post by: Klean07 on October 25, 2017, 05:24:58 pm
I've got a couple of customers that ask me to fill their spray containers for use on their insides! Got me thinking maybe I could add this as a side line and sell it for £2 a go?

Why on earth would they need pure for the insides? Tap water and a microfibre will do the job

unless they are going to wfp the insides it wont make a difference what they use.

Pure water works because you agitate the dirt then rinse the dirt off leaving just the pure behind. If you are using a squeegee, a cloth or pair of y fronts etc it wont make bit of difference if the water pure or not.

If you live in a hard water area, like me in Kent, then pure water is great for steam irons. I have a long standing customer who has a few litres each time I visit. I use it in ours and our steam iron has lasted years, which it wouldn't otherwise down here, our tap water 450ppm and very chalky.
Tescos sell ironing water with a bit of smelly stuff in it for about a pound a litre, did think of selling it but never found the time

I had a customer cancel on me as they said they were now doing there own windows after they purchased a cheap water fed pole from Aldi for a few quid.

A week later they came back to me to ask why they were not getting the same results.  So explained the tap water vs pure water stuff.

They then asked me to sell them some pure. I replied "no sorry"  ;D

When I 1st switch ro on the readings are a bit too high to put through resin. I usually fill up a 25l barrel and give to  one of my commercial  customers for his ironing business.  Get any alterations or repairs done for nought.

Mixed replies thanks. I've recently added solar panel cleaning to my portfolio which I'm averaging 5 new enquiries per week so I'll stick to this for now as its more money!
