Like many, I have posted cards through the door, put out my A board sign and have a sign written van. - moderate response has kept me ticking over nicely.
At the moment the Army seems to have decided to move everybody! And I have been forced to bite the bullet and go door knocking.
Wow what a difference, about 3 to 5 new customers per hour, all on good pricing.
Just ringing the bell, hi i’m Chris, do you have a window cleaner? If yes ok thanks if no then short speil and quote.
Loads have shown me photos of my a board on their mobiles but me turning up has done the trick.

Nice to you're cleaning up ;D ;D ;D

Well done Chris, I've built my whole round on door knocking

Squaddies don't make great customers. They get promoted and posted. They get posted. They leave the army. They go on long courses and the 'baggage' goes home to live with Mummy for six-months.
I do well priced march-outs, and I will clean some of the officers SFAs (bigger houses and better priced) ensuring they'll pay by bank transfer and I have their mobile.
But I tend to avoid squaddies, even if I am an ex-serviceman myself.

Looks like youve stumbled in a good area, lucky you, it's not always that easy

True, time has taught me to try and stick to the Officers. As in civvy street some customers are goodand some are not so good.
And some are really naughty!
Luckily the long time I have been doing Military only has got me well known so prospecting is maybe a bit easier for me.
Over the past twenty years I have probably lost around 30% of customers a year, but it all ticks over and maintains a level where I am always busy.
Why do I do Military only? I’m certainly not a squaddie fan, done all that.
It’s because houses are straight up and down, no conservatories, no overhangs, and most of the wives are too young to hanker after my ageing body!!!
