Does anyone know of any that's not to expensive ,only want the reels and also want solid sides not the petal types .I have seen one on bayersan site for £100 but don't know what the company is like and what the reels are like .this price is with 100 mtrs of hose and fittings

I deal with Bayersan on a weekly basis as I buy my water from them.

They are good lads. I buy some bits and pieces from them from time to time and I've never had any problems.

Never bought anything of high value though. Don't know if that helps.

Claber hose reels have solid sides and are excellent value. Google "Claber metal 40" it's available from various window cleaning suppliers around £40.

I brought a solid side one, thinking it would keep the reel secure, it doesn't, intact the problem is, the bloody reel won't stop spinning round when I stop, making it unreel itself and tangle round the outer spindle

Just slow down a little before you come to a stop and that over-run doesn't happen.

I'm a Geordie never have this problem.

Wor Lass is Welsh and always ends up with loose coils on her reel.

Are you Welsh?
