I use an old Surflo pump with a 12v supply and a pwm controller set to a low setting to govern the volume as 5lpm is way to high.  first time I tried it it blew through all the seals on the prefilters.  It's worked for me now for several years though the pump is now showing some signs of tyring out.

It would help to know what type of ro you have?
350gpd would use small 12v pump ( those are not designed to be used for long periods)
4021 or 4040 240v ones like from  anglian pumps, machine mart, or most expensive lafert

I use a diaghram pump set to 75psi which i use constant between 12 n 24hrs at a go when using a 450 gpd RO unit.

Done so for 2 yrs n not burnt the house down nor blown up the RO.....so i guess its ok to do  ;D

As a matter of interest Nathan, what pump do you use?  My Surflo is a monster for my little 300gpd RO.  As i said above, I have to run it real slow, but it works.

Thanks Nathan.  My setup won't last forever so I've got to figure out what I'm going to do when it gives up.  I'll probably go for a purpose built unit like that
