Why don't you just email Gardiners and find out  ???

Why don't you just email Gardiners and find out  ???

........ or look on their website.

What I would like to see Alex adding to the Quick-loq range is an angle Quick-loq that screws onto the brush head.

Hi Spruce

What is your preferred angle on this ?

Do you also use a swivel?

I mount the q-loq brush attachment. Score along the top edge of it then remove it. Then fit three small stainless screws just below the line so they will be under the q-loq fitting when you refit it.  By adjusting these screws you can adjust the angle of the brush.  I don’t use a great angle. Probably only 10 degrees. But a similar approach could be used for a greater angle.

This ones on a xtreme brush so the screws are fitted into the q-loq fitting instead of the brush

Hi Alex,

We have always used these;
http://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/water-fed-poles/brushes/brush-fittings-jets-sockets-scrapers/brush-socket-screw-angled.html
and they have worked well for us. For some reason we have a number of houses where the top window frame is linked to the fascia and the only way to scrub that is to face the brush upwards so as not to come into contact with the fascia.

The angled threaded brush holder was great as it made working slightly easier. For me it made the brush more 'stable' meaning that I don't have to hold the pole as tightly to stop it tipping over, especially if using narrower width brushes.  (I'm starting to suffer with painful joints - a bit of arthritis. Someone younger probably is wondering what the drama is all about.) The only way I can explain it is that it has a lower center of gravity. (I know that doesn't make sense when cleaning a vertical window but the point of drive with the pole is closer to the brush head.)

The old Vikan car washes brushes had/have a different angle and those were never right.

I have seen the threaded adaptor to Quickloq
http://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/water-fed-poles/brushes/brush-fittings-jets-sockets-scrapers/quick-loqtm-brush-adapter.html

but I see that this isn't ideal when you swap brush heads around like I do. Each brush would have to have its own adaptor.

I have a swivel for use with both the threaded male and another for the 90 degree brush socket. I haven't used a swivel for a long time now. There are a couple of houses where a swivel would help and I had thought of a separate pole with one fitted, but a swivel isn't really an issue.

I agree with you Spruce in that a brush connected by an angle is considerably  more stable in use. I also find that the brush works easier and better from an angled connection- an overall better user experience. 👍

I'm glad it isn't just us.  :D
I fitted a new brush to son's pole the other day with a 90 degree Quickloq. The first thing he asked me to do was to take it off and revert back to his screwed angle brush socket.

As this historic thread has been resurrected!

We have produced an angled Quick-LoQ brush socket for just over a year now - https://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/water-fed-poles/brushes/brush-fittings-jets-sockets-scrapers/quick-loqr-30-angled-brush-socket.html

Hi HMAN

We still do not make a connector like this - I cannot see the need for this connector as all of our clients use our own Quick-LoQ goosenecks so the gooseneck connects straight to our brushes.

If a client needs to connect an older screw thread gooseneck to their brush then they can buy our brushes with the Euro screw thread socket fitted which is a simpler and more elegant solution (IMO).

Your manufacturing partnership already make and sell this adapter in Australia - https://windowcleaningsupplies.com.au/product/euro-thread-to-wiel-loc/ and this range is even named after you :)

Hi Alex,
Ok can see that you are concentrating more on the WFP aspect.
But not beyond all the other applications that can be used without an angle adapter.
Thank You for your reply.
