Went out to clean today and it hammered down , so i popped around to pick up a few payments , i knock one door and the guy comes out and says "Really sorry we drove off and didnt pay you the other day , its just that my wifes dad fell off his ladder and died "
What do you say to that ?........turns out he was cleaning his gutters , fell and ripped apart a ventrical in his heart :o
He has been working off ladders all his life as an odd jobber , ladder was still up as he put it , they dont know how he came off , slip or dizzy spell we will never know !
Just goes to show , it can happen to anybody :(

Not nice!! But highlights the dangers of working from heights.
The amount of old dears i tell off as i go on my rounds is unbelievable. When you see them half hanging out from a window to try n clean the outside from the inside window sill!! 1 slip is all it will take!!

I fell off a ladder a few months back but it was my own carelessness and stupidity, stepped onto a slippery garage roof for want of not letting a job beat me (roll eyes), a ladder is no different than any other bit of equipment its safe when used right and dangerous when in the wrong hands and used carelessly.
I'm one of the latter so wfp is a life saver for me.

Even the most safety conscious ladder user can come a cropper when others around them don't think before they act. I had numerous doors and windows opened on me when I used to use ladders nearly knocking me off ballance. I had a large dog come barreling out of a house and hit the ladders on one occasion and on another, someone shook my ladders to get my attention.

Glad I've never used a ladder.

Fell off a scaffold when I was about 17. Fell between steel roller bed. Not a mark. My 2 bosses were working at my side. They were shocked. Couldn't use legs as it was tight.
Well the scaffold fell over, but same fall
Wouldn't get away with it nowadays
