Title: Facelift liteBOY spares
Post by: jarvy on August 04, 2017, 06:52:01 pm
Hi
Not had this backpack very long. I seem to consume them for some reason. This one was working fine for the 1st fill the other day but when I filled up would not switch on. The power lights on the front was really dim so thought it may be battery. Swapped for another one that had just came off charge but same problem. Just had a look, fuse is fine and pump work when wired direct to 12v. Could it be the flow control box (circled) or something else?
Getting fed up of using backpacks for 6 month or so then having to buy a new one.
Also where could I get one if it is this?
Thanks

No, but wish I had of done.
These were 130ish when I brought them. Was kind of hoping I could do something with it apart from throw away.

Surely it's still under guarantee if you've only had it for 6 months.

I'm not familliar with the innards of the lite-boy but I have a small 3.5lpm, 12ltr sprayer that I use for small jobs and it looks simillar inside except it has no controller, just an on/off switch and a fuse.

If you tend to run it flat out as I do with mine, just remove the control box and wire the motor directly to the battery via a switch and a fuse in the positve wire.
