Hi all
I have been working for a couple of years with 3 of us out of an L200. 500 litre tank with two fixed reels and the third person uses a back pack and a 25litre drum on the back seat to refill. It has been great but not ideal as space is very limited and the fact we have to waste time waiting for refill back pack.
We are awaiting our new VW Transporter Kombi and obviously changing the set up dramatically.
My question is does anyone have any pics of there 3 man set up I can have a look at and get some ideas on how we are going to achieve this so we do not have to use a backpack anymore.
Or has any advice would be gratefully received.
Thanks in advance

Are you planning on increasing the tank size. You must go through the 500lts very quickly with 3 of you.
-
I would of thought if you are using fixed hose reels then 2 out of the back doors and the 3rd out of a side sliding door would be the way to go.

I had a combi T4 , i only ran 2 man but , if i needed 3 man then it would probably be twin stack pure freedom from the back and a lift out reel from the side .
I have a couple of pics of different set ups i ran from the T4 , i will have a scout now and post , may give you a few ideas of space.

Yes , now i think about it , this was a Wydale 350 and it was tight , 500 would have gone in just i think , so if you want a bigger tank i would say 650 flat with 2 reels mounted on top , then the lift out reel from the side

What do you want to see in the photos I have 3 pumps that run separate hose reels , but can be split to run a total of 6 reels we don't use this many very often but use 3 quite regularly

As reflections says just set another pump up with another reel.

Good Evening,
Here is an example of a 3 operator setup we kitted out last week (customer preference on reel types and location).

Unless the "third man" is a general assistant earning little money I don't see how you can run a three man system without at least 1000 litres, preferably 1200. (So payload up around 1500kg minimum)
I ran a 2 man on domestic and usually used up my 650L tank by 3.30pm with a 9 am start. Just before putting Dan the Man in his own van we would also take two or three 50L barrels to make sure we had enough.

Yes we have a 1000 ltr system when doing big commercial we fill as we work and can produce water faster that we can use it with with 3 reels working at the same time for 8 hours at a time , thank goodness for Grippatank s booster pump 😄😄😄😄😄
