Title: Uni-valve question
Post by: The Jester of Wibbly on June 27, 2017, 03:10:43 pm
For those that use them....

Will they work ok with the standard yellow hose that comes with the Gardener poles?

Also what's the difference between the red and blue one? (Other than the colour)

i only use the standard gardiner pole hose and haven't had any issues. it can be a bit stretchy when you pull it in the warmer weather but works fine for me.

Thanks buddy.

I wanted to find out before fitting as removing o-clips are nightmare if I had to change hose  ;D

Paul, removing o-clips is actually very simple and takes seconds. Using a set of o-clip pliers cut or "nibble" through the "ear" of the o-clip bit by bit which will result in the "ear" being totally cut-off.  Do the same to the other side.  Job done!

I did this the other day as I had a Univalve playing up and it literally took less than 10 seconds.

Steve from Exceed did a video on this but I can't seem to find it at the moment. I'll put up a link if I do find it.
