Post by: dazmond on June 10, 2017, 02:06:22 pm
my girlfriends parents live in sale, manchester.nice area and have been paying £4 to have their windows cleaned(1930s style 3 bed semis with bay windows at the front),her sister lives next door but two and has the same guy.100% trad.does a good job too.

hes now jacking it in because he cant afford to pay the original guy to "rent" his round.

i really cant believe theres window cleaners still charging so little these days esp as its a nice area too.this was not just fronts either!whole house!(apart from the window above extension) ::)roll

My brother in law starting cleaning windows a year back and recently he was telling me about his prices. My jaw hit the floor!!  Full houses for between £2.50 and £3.50)!!
He took me to one of the houses he cleans, as the owner had a car for sale that i was interested in. It was a large 3 bed semi. They had a massive curve bay window upstairs and down. Georgian style.
He asked me how much i would charge and said between 20 -30. Haha, his jaw hit the floor!! I asked him how much his boss charges......... £3.50!!!

£3.50  :o

You would have to bust a gut just to make minimum wage after expenses.

my girlfriend pays £4-50 for her 3 bed semi(with side extension, patio doors etc).he uses a backpack for tops, trads ground floor windows.he doesnt do a great job so every so often i clean them properly including frames and clean the awkward side upper window he always bumps. ;D

theres more window cleaners than you think charging really low prices even in 2017.
