Title: Microbore or Minibore?
Post by: Simon Trapani on June 04, 2017, 04:20:32 pm
Hi guys. I've always used Minibore hose but am thinking of trying Microbore on both our reels as I've heard it's lighter to reel in.
Any of you guys ever used Microbore?

Used minibore in my first year or so. Now I use microbore.
Much lighter
Gets trapped in render gaps between bricks etc
Flow isn't quite as good, but pressure is
you can fit more on a reel

I've never used anything other than microbore! I use 100m on a Koreel. Using Shurflo regular pump. No problems. Easy to move about, reel in.
Hth.

I used microbore, no probs. I've now gone a step further and use 30m of microbore, then 60m of gardiners reinforced pole hose on my reel. Done it for a few years now.

I have one of each on the van (100m).
Definitely less swearing with the thinner stuff. Probably marginally better payload wise too.
