I know it's a plastic one but with the metal o clips must definitely wear the inside of the pole. If you have a brodex pole no prob ;D but if you have an xtreme, probably not good to have an univalve. Am I wrong?

The valve sits inside the first section so never actually moves inside the tube. The action required to operate the unit amounts to about 2mm so no issue there either.

I don't use 'o' rings. Discovered a while back that when using PU hose with plastic hosetails they seem to tighten and grip when you pull on them. I use the black plastic JG hosetails with a JG straight fitting at the base of the pole (Tubeless setup) and PU hose in the pole with the Univalve. I don't use 'o' rings on any of it. Been working like this for over a year. But, as PW says the Univalve doesn't move anyhow so wear to the pole is not an issue.
