Hi guys
I have been asked to de-moth and clean a 70 years old Rug.
It is 9x12 feet, threadbare in places where the moth have been munching.
I can put a fungicidal through it, but have already raised some concerns on the cleaning, don't want to rip it apart.
Any suggestions on the best way to tackle it.
Also looks like they have migrated into the actual carpet?
Regards

How deeps the pile? if its short I would clean it through a mesh, nylon net curtain is good. As always get a disclaimer due to the existing condition.
I have cleaned some 150 year old Wilton rugs in the past with no problems.
