Best speak to an auto electrician but I'm guessing he would probably say no.

Then why ask us?
The cigarette lighter isn't good enough to do the job as Smurf says. If its protected with a 15 amp fuse (meaning the wiring will carry a higher current) then you could get away with splicing into the wiring to the socket and wiring that directly to the SCR.
We did that with a Transit Connect van my son in law used for 4 years he window cleaned. The red and black wires come from the wiring to the accessories socket at the back of the van.

Hello Samson ....hope ya well mate
I ru the wires from my van battery into the back of my van to power my pumps, why would it not be possible to do the same on a Picasso
Depending on we're the battery is situated find a path to run the wires ( I drilled a small hole put a grommet In it to prevent the wires rubbing on body work ) through, u will be able to run it under the carpet somewhere or tucked away out of sight.

Ebay. You want a voltage sensing relay (VSR).
Here's one;

Dazmond, d’you want an SLX pole for a tenner?
-
They’re the ‘in’ pole, the pole of choice for many window cleaners and far superior to those snapping extreme poles.

So you just run pump off the van battery then ?
