Hey all,
Looking for advice on my brand/name.
The options:
cleanfloor.co.uk
crownclean.co.uk
arrowcleaning.co.uk
trinitycleaning.co.uk
cleancarpeting.co.uk
The selection is some which I think would represent quality such as crown and trinity, others such as cleanfloor and cleancarpeting are well straight to the point.
Any advice on which would work best?
Thanks,
Ian

Wouldn't use arrow unless you're in Nottingham....

Are you serious lol
By the way I'm not keen on any of those names but if I had to I would go for crown clean.

I wouldn't use any either.
Try to integrate your locality, people will see your local and often local wins the customer, and the name would rank better in search engines.
A customer looking for a c/c in say Middlecot (made it up ) may well type in carpet cleaner in Middlecot result your page will come up as opposed to Arrow Cleaning etc. now somebody looking for an Archery range may well bring up your c/c site.
Just my thoughts

It's not much harder to rank a brand name than an exact match location domain to be honest.
I can see what you mean about the customer but keywords would easily sort the showing up in local searches.

Completely clueless.

Ah Robin Hood! Lmao, my bad.

you could make your evocative names more decriptive ... like ' crown carpet care ' ' arrow carpet care '

I was actually trying to avoid that with those, just incase I get into other areas or cleaning further down the line, as suggested by others on here.

I went for one beginning with A. To be first or near in any alphabetic list with perhaps a gimmick to aid memory. Get a lad in to clean your carpets = Aladdin Carpet Cleaners.
-
Haha, love the gimmick!

Hi Ian sorry for the bad joke, the real reason I wouldn't use arrow is that it suggests you clean..
Arrows. I think Crown cleaning would be OK. I found generic names to work best as it doesn't pigeon hole you. Unless you want to specialise like Bolton rug cleaning. Or something like.

crown cleaning is good so long as you are not in Suffolk area or Essex as its my pals company all the best
as it will be with you for your new venture happy cleaning

Choosing a name is always difficult its a bit like pricing, what you start with sticks with you.
Whats wrong with using your own name or the area you work and live in.
I start with my own name when I first started cleaning it was only when I teamed up with a relative that it was decided to call ourselves something else which I now regret.
So remember what you choose now will stick with you.
I said at the time Splash and Dash was not a good idea :)
There are many products out there like Pepsi, Coca cola, Polo mints to name a few.
The mention of their names you would think would never need to advertise.
But your wrong, lets look at durex we all know what they are (or maybe be not)
And we know what they are used for and I guess many here wished they used one now and then.
I know this is a strange analogie but carpet cleaning is a bit the same. To a lot of people they never think they need our services. They all think they can get by without using using our service.
Now look at it like this, if every time you went into the gents toilets and saw a condom machine with big letters on saying
BUY ME AND STOP ONE!
It would draw your attention.
May be not very suttle but a fact.
So when choosing a Business name try and stand out from the crowd.
No not Durex cleaning for Christ sake
Thats me!
