Title: Electric Hosereels
Post by: Steve Weatherley on March 24, 2017, 08:36:58 pm
Does anyone have one? Are they any good? Reeling in the hose manually is a major factor in causing fatigue (especially with a bad back)

it looks a bit of a hazard to me with the open chain ... have you had any mishaps?

Been using it about 2 months and no mishaps.   Mate its not a chain saw or a mega powerful motor. If your winding the chain in and stand on it or hold the hose for instance, it will stop.
Its not a motorbike chain where if it comes off n splits it will have your arm off lol.
Though it might be a problem if you try dangling something into it on purpose but im guessing on a whole no one is going to do that.

Its a 24v motor operating from a small 12v battery. Its enough speed and power to safely pull in 100m of minibore hose and 40ft of pole hose

Just attach two wires to the battery is that every time you want to reel hose in because if you fasten wires on constant the pump will contuasly be running
