Just fitted the Gardiner super scraper, bit concerned about using it on glass though as the edges of the scraper feel rough.
Anyone had any problems?
-
As long as the window is wet , it should be fine. I took mine off eventually because it kept catching on stuff and added extra weight .
-
no problems at all.obviously make sure the glass is wet before scraping.it comes in very handy for stubborn birdmuck.
the weight of it is negligible

What do you scrape ice off your windscreen with?
Should be fine if it's clean.

Hi Chris. ...combine with the Abrasive pads. I use an elastic band to keep them on.

And no it doesn't scratch ;)

Give the bird muck a quick scrub/soak do another window, come back and the scraper should take it off in one rub,
haven't had a problem with it scrapping the glass.

I use one of them sponges with a white scourer on top, fold it over scraper and secure with rip tie!

Cheers guys👍.
I came across some bird poop covered windows yesterday, the scraper did help but i was paranoid for the rest of the day that i left scratches. Havnt had any complaints so hopefully fine.
Good idea securing the pads with elastic bands or cable ties, i shall try that out. I think il be slightly less paranoid using using the pads rather then the scraper.

do you find it adds much weight when using the extreme brush ?
-
Its a great addition to my pole. Only cons is its hard to fit between those bloody bars :)

You could also use a cut down bronze wool pad for that or for larger areas you could use this.

Too much messing about.
I find it easier swapping the whole brush than changing heads about

It has its uses as makes light work of lichen etc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6du1v9L9RA
Like I mentioned before a cut down bronze wool pad attached to a super scraper also works well too without all the extra weight.

susan you cant tell the difference weight wise with or without the scraper fitted its that light.

Scraper saves a lot of time scrubbing hard to shift bird muck, would love to see more sensible and practical innovations like this one :)
