Title: monolithic wired glass
Post by: tonycarr on March 15, 2017, 05:25:27 pm
hi all...been to view a job cleaning  Monolithic Wired Glass, in the roof of a building, there`s some overspray of paint (not sure what type of paint) on the glass,  if the glass is flat i wont be a problem i`ll just scrape it (no problemo), but if its textured then i need to go pre-armed with a method of cleaning.

cant get a close up of the glass until the day of the job when i`ll be using a skyjack

what would you recommend if its textured? ......a decent paint thinner i imagine?......  what about wire wool?  if wire wool what grade?

tony

Time consuming removing paint from this type of glass price accordingly.

Thanks. ...job done

Ended up using a medium course wire wool and used a wire brush round the edges. Lot of elbow grease, if I had to do this type of job again I'd incorporate a power tool.

Priced very well
