I know you don't like vision Daz but my advice would be try vision with your fan jets for a few days.

Daz,what is your review on the new xtreme natural bristle? Thanks
-
I reckon Daz should do a window cleaning reality show
It would be awesome!!!
-
We should run a book on when Daz will post "Electric reel, why didn't I get one for the new van"

yes I know what you mean, thanks mate

It's the noise of them I don't like.
To a customer Sitting inside the house it sounds like your pressure washing the glass.
I also don't like the overspray you can get when trying to rinse sometimes.

I think you should rinse on with them.

Hi dazmond, i tried Fan Jets for the first time about 3 years ago, have never gone back to pencil jets since, i just feel
the rinsing & coverage is superior to P/Jets, just my personal opinion.
-
I only ever use fan jets they're awesome

i rinse on the glass mainly mate unless the glass is really dirty.i love the sound of fan jets!i prefer them to pencil jets esp when rinsing large hydrophobic panes.time will tell.ill probably go back to pencils for most work as all my other brushes have pencil jets fitted! :)

I was saying this 8 years ago. Im wasted here.

Hydrophobic glass is hydrophobic and the jet pattern wont change that, if you don't remove the dirt in the scrub
(they are not brushphobic) then rinsing all day wont remove it.
Fan jets are good if you get lots of broken spiders webs or similar on the glass as they push it to the bottom quicker
other than that they're just a personal choice.
-
A fan jet won't change the nature of the glass but it will change the way the water covers the glass. It covers it in a much more evenly spread pattern instead of running down the glass in rivulets as happens with pencil jets.
-
I prefer to use fan jets for this simple reason https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4SORg3AQ8nw

Indeed...Don't time fly when yer having fun.

Ah got you, the pressure washing sound gives the impression that your getting more water onto the glass.

No it just means you can rinse on the glass more efficiently no matter what type of glass it is.

Or in other words whatever floats your boat, personally I put very little time and effort into rinsing so didn't find any difference
in either, I get on better with pencil jets but that doesn't mean they do anything better.

Bit like using hot or not and/or using additives like vision I suppose. Whatever floats yer boat indeed as at the end of the day is a personal choice what peeps like to use.

Exactly, additives, parts per billion, super high flows, heavy brushes, rinse on rinse off. no rinse, everybody will have their own opinion on what works best.
Put it this way I would rinse quicker with pencil jets than the guy using fans in the video and be confident of perfect results
but I guarantee there would be some who would look at my technique and say there's no way them windows are clean.
I have mates who don't rinse full stop on 4 weekly cleans. (shocking) as they're covering some off my work while I'm out sick.

im due delivery of the new xtreme brush today with that other new brush, all my brushes i fit both types of jets as i know theres jobs i cant use fans on with dry runs afterwards so they need to be pencil'ed, im really enjoying 3mm pencils at moment with theyre thick lazy flow, less water bouncing off the glass and im hardly rinsing with the heavy wave they create washing everything off.
fans definately have a place though and much quicker but just need to be abit delicate in certain areas with dirt runs.
-
I personally like fan jets, I love the extreme brushes but I feel, "oh dear a man who feels", that fan jets in extremes is a recipe for frame scratching, as there not enough bristles to stop them hitting frames when to much pressure is excerted
That's why I insert them into the stock of the extreme betweeen the two pre drilled holes
And voila perfect brush
-
Got my new extreme natural brush today and I like it a lot. It has a good feel on the glass, good scrubbing action, and quick. Also got the ultimate flocked but haven't used it yet. I prefer pencil jets but occasionally use gardiners fan jets and the wcw blue fan jets fitted to a flocked supreme. I like it all, it's brilliant!

Got mine too today and can't fault it, looking side by side the natural gas more bristles in the middle giving a better scrub, we all know it's never gonna scrub like a bigger brush but if its lightweight your after this works fine!
3mm pencils and fans in mine but I've been using the pencils most of the day find they're less spray'ey and give a better rinse
-
Yeah, I really like the 3mm jets. They give a fuller rinse off, without as much overspray. I tend to use more water though.
I think Jonny 87 have me the idea to use them.
-
I have gone back to pencil jets lately. The fan jets clog up to many times and restrict the flow too much. I do believe in as much water on the glass for rinsing.
-
i defo saved water using fan jets for 2 days last week!on longer days where i use nearly a full 500L theyll come in handy. ;)
-
I've played with fan jets over the years and always liked the idea but with residential work I use pencils I find I get less problems, however I use fan jets on a brush that I use for cleaning shop signs and factory signs and good on solar panels and conservatory roofs etc, but I will stick to pencils for my residential work.
